Tender description

Halton Borough Council are seeking to procure an Emergency Call Out Service. The fundamental objective of the contract is to provide, on behalf of the Council, a ‘stand-by’ and ‘call-out’ service to respond to out-of-hours emergencies. Such emergencies shall include, but not be limited to, the following; • Clearing of debris and making roads safe following road traffic collisions • Dealing with oil or diesel spillages on the highway • Removing dead animals • Picking up syringes • Clearing of rubbish The Council gives no guarantee as the number of incidents that contractors may be required to respond to however, for indicative purposes only, over the past five years the average number of out-of-hours emergencies was 158 per year.
