C3S_330 Operational Production of Seasonal Forecasts

Tender description

ECMWF as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) invites tenders for production of seasonal forecasts, to contribute to the operational phase of its seasonal forecast service. The service will be a continuation of the current activity started by C3S in 2016, which has at its core a multi-system seasonal forecast infrastructure. It is intended that contracts will be negotiated with several providers of seasonal forecast data, to cover a period of 39 months starting around 1 April 2018. The focus will be on production and delivery of forecast data to an operational schedule. As in the current, pre-operational phase of the service, C3S will take ownership of the data products delivered by these contracts, create further data and graphical products, including multi-system combinations, and make them available to the public without charge. Tenderers are encouraged to submit proposals that demonstrate their ability to deliver high-quality operational services with a strong foundation in science, research and development.
