Warm Homes Healthy People Statement It is envisaged that the Invitation to Quote (ITQ) for the Warm Homes Healthy People (WHHP) programme will be published on YORtender in the week commencing 14th August 2017*. *Please note that this is an estimated date of publication and is subject to change. The Warm Homes Healthy People programme will be procured with an indicative budget of £99,000 and will be delivered from October 2017 – March 2019. The Service will support and contribute towards the following indicators: Fuel Poverty [PHOF1.17] Diet [PHOF 2.11] Excess winter deaths index (single year, all ages) (Persons) [PHOF 4.15i] Excess winter deaths index (single year, all ages) (Male) [PHOF 4.15i] Excess winter deaths index (single year, all ages) (Female) [PHOF 4.15i] NICE Guidelines (2015) Excess winter deaths and illness and the health risks Associated with cold homes also make recommendations. [NG6] Preventing excess winter deaths and illness associated with cold homes [QS117] Proportion of people who use services and their carers, who reported that they had as much social contact as they would like. [ASCOF 1L] Key themes of the Warm Homes Healthy People: • Reduce the numbers of excess winter deaths • Provide support to those experiencing the effects of cold weather in their homes. • Interventions are designed to provide short term relief to during the winter months. • Support to be provided through practical support or signposting to other supporting services. • Interventions are focused around home energy efficiency, providing various packs or advice.
