Tender description

Sefton’s Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Service (Hearing Needs Team) requires the purchase of digital wireless radio aid systems, as well as associated parts, (e.g. replacement microphones or lapel clips, or direct audio input shoes), and service for repairs. This is assistive listening equipment for children with a diagnosed hearing loss and will progressively upgrade existing FM and digital radio aid stock on an annual basis. The digital wireless radio aid systems will be used in conjunction with the child’s primary hearing instrument(s), (i.e. behind the ear hearing aid(s) and/or cochlear implant speech processor(s)), to alleviate the acoustic hostilities of distance, reverberation and background noise, and provide optimal learning and listening opportunities for pupils in an educational setting or for pre-school children. Keywords: equipment, digital radios, hearing loss, listening
