Tender description

Devon County Council is tendering for a specialist Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse (DSVA) service to support the delivery of the wider DSVA Strategy. The Service Specification focuses on the ‘Support and Protect’ and ‘Recovery and Resilience’ outcomes of the DSVA strategy. These are: 1) Support and protect victims and their children to stay safe by challenging and managing the risk of the perpetrator of DSVA, 2) Support adults and children who have experienced DSVA to address their underlying needs and end repeated cycles of victimisation and perpetration, 3) Support people who have experienced DSVA to long-term independence free from its harmful effects. We are seeking to commission a Service Provider or collaboration of Service Providers who will work in partnership with the Commissioners and others to work towards achieving our ambitions. The client focused service provision is for adults and young people (aged over 16 years ) and their families who have experienced DSVA and are resident within the Devon County Council boundary area. In some key specific circumstances, on a case by case basis, the age may be extended downwards to include adolescents from 14 years old. The family includes anyone who has a positive/negative influence on the individual's life. For example, partners and ex partners, elderly relatives, parents, extended family and children and young people. These parameters are designed to be flexible to enable the Provider/s to respond to the individual and family's specific needs on a case-by-case basis and, in consultation with commissioners, any wider population needs and gaps in service provision that arise over the contract period.
