Why the Work is Being Done Assisting Army to establish its Enterprise Architecture capability in support of its digital transformation initiatives. Problem to Be Solved Own, develop, embed and maintain the necessary framework of architecture principles, patterns, standards and policies. Implement a federated approach to EA across the Land environment to ensure coherent and efficient delivery of BAU information outputs and new information capabilities through the Army's change portfolio. Lead and manage the Army's ARIS modelling capability. Who Are the Users Army appointed its first dedicated CIO to cohere the Army's approach to the better management of information and the creation of a Single Information Environment (SIE). An Army Chief Enterprise Architect (ACEA) was appointed Jan 17 to establish an enterprise architecture capability to provide the framework, assurance and controls for Army information management going forward. The selected supplier will be supporting the ACEA to establish and develop the Army's fledgling architectural capability. Early Market Engagement Work Already Done EA's (consisting of Enterprise Business Change Architect, Enterprise Technical Architect and an EA Repository Manager) have, under a previous contract, established a significant amount of reference content but definition of the overall Army framework remains incomplete. Remote working is permitted by exception, subject to security constraints and the need to access stakeholders and MoD systems.
