Refuse disposal and treatment

Tender description

This is a Contract Award Notice for the disposal of soil, rubble and hardcore. KCC is the Disposal Authority for Kent and as such, has a responsibility to provide for the treatment and/or disposal of circa 730 000 tonnes per annum of municipal waste generated in Kent. Hardcore and Soil is a material which is deemed to derive from household projects and therefore, residents are limited to bringing in 90 kg (190 lbs) per day to deter traders. KCC Waste Management tendered for an off-taker provision for six of the eighteen Household Waste Recycling Centre sites in Kent (Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Swanley, Dartford, Maidstone and Gravesham) for Hardcore and Soil. KCC Waste Management tendered for an array of providers or one provider to give KCC the most cost efficient method of disposing of hardcore and soil. Original estimated tonnage — 2211.61 tonnes per annum. Original estimated tonnage — 1681.64 tonnes per annum. Original estimated tonnage — 4128.84 tonnes per annum. Original estimated tonnage — 1643.88 tonnes per annum. Original estimated tonnage — 1953.44 tonnes per annum. Original estimated tonnage — 4288.75 tonnes per annum.
