Tender description

Network Rail requires the supply of Rail Defect Clamps in order to meet the needs of its internal and external customers. These clamps are used for clamping defects in track and the forming of temporary rail joints in conjuction with associated fishplates. The current temporary rail clamping system only allow a maximum traffic speed for 50mph which is detrimental to the rail service. Consequently, Network Rail requires a new clamping system that allows an increase in rail traffic speed up to 125mph. Network Rail is seeking to learn what options are available in the market that meet its requirements. Network Rail wishes to engage with suppliers that have a developed product which is readily available.
