Tender description

South Norfolk Council has around 470 staff who work across a number of sites. In addition to our main administrative offices in Long Stratton which houses staff carrying out a range of district council administrative and support functions we also have: • A depot situated off the A11 at Ketteringham, that operates: o Domestic, commercial, bulky and garden waste collection services o Street cleaning, toilet cleaning and litter picking service (including litter picking on highways) o Grounds maintenance service o Pest control service o vehicle maintenance workshops • 3 leisure centres at: o Long Stratton o Diss (with pool) o Wymondham (with pool and spa area) • 3 business centres at: o Diss o Loddon o Poringland • CNC Building Control offices at Wisbech • Temporary accommodation at: o Long Stratton o Costessey It is very likely that SNC wholly owned organisations will also be utilising these services, specifically but not limited to Big Sky Property Management Limited and Build Insight Limited. The current Health and Safety Advisor is due to retire in May and the Council now seeks to appoint a suitably qualified external individual or organisation to act in the capacity of its 'Competent Person' as required under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and provide organisational support in health and safety matters.
