Tender description

Warwickshire County Council Public Health and Coventry and Rugby CCG are jointly re-commissioning the Community TB Nursing service and wish to engage with the market on the service review and patient engagement, prior to going out to tender. The Community TB Nursing Service is a specialist nurse-led service that supports and provides care to patients diagnosed with TB within both Warwickshire and Coventry. The Team work with specialist medical staff to ensure a smooth patient journey from diagnosis to discharge and this includes supporting patients to take medication (Directly Observed Therapy DOT), referring for social support, home visits, tracing and testing contacts/family members for TB infection, managing incidents and outbreaks in the community and providing BCG vaccinations. The service provides information and advice to patients and carers and educational/TB awareness sessions to a wide range of professionals. This is an opportunity for providers to feedback to help shape and develop the new service specification. Commissioners will share the proposed new service model and the outcome of the stakeholder and patient engagement.
