Contract for Ground preparation and Tree Planting at Berwick Glades II

Tender description

Bewick Glades II is a new site that has recently been restored and landscaped using imported materials. Berwick Glades II covers an area of approximately 7ha, of which 4.49ha are to be planted with trees and shrubs to create a new woodland within a wider Community Forest. Berwick Glades II will form a link between two adjacent sites. The works will include the following: • the preparation of the ground to mitigate the effects of compaction on the soil • marking out of planting blocks and lines • safe transportation of trees and shrubs to the site • maintenance of the stored trees and shrubs • planting of the trees and shrubs • the installation of a fence • a beat up of failed trees after year 1 The planting is time critical and MUST be completed by the 31st of January For full details of the all works please read the tender documents
