TWe wish to appoint a main contractor to undertake the new build construction of 5 No new build General Needs social housing units at 16-18 Dunluce Street, Larne for the following mix of accommodation: — 5 No 3 person 2 bedroom Category 1 apartments The scheme has been programmed to commence on site on or prior to 31.3.2018 for inclusion in the 2017/18 Social Housing Development Programme. Planning approval was previously granted (2001) for the demolition of existing buildings and replacement with retail unit, ground and first floor offices and 6 No flats. The contract is for the provision of 6 No new build social housing accommodation at 16-18 Dunluce Street, Larne to create: — 6 No 3 person 2 bedroom Category 1 apartments (to include a lift). Please note this mix may be subject to change based on the outcome of a planning application. The site is a compact brownfield site located in Larne Town Centre in an area consisting mainly of commercial and retail properties. The site is an infill site and is currently derelict and overgrown. Site surveys are still to be undertaken. The contractor will be responsible for all services etc. to develop this site and for providing, prior to completion, the relevant statutory approvals and documentation. The scheme is to be on site early 2018. The contract period is anticipated to be 12 months.
