Tender description

The Association wishes to procure a Main Contractor to undertake the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new build supported housing scheme at Altigarron Court, to create a proposed mix of accommodation as follows: — 10No. 1 person 1 bedroom self-contained supported housing apartments — 1No. 4 bedroom, shared supported housing unit — Associated staff and communal facilities Total: 14 units This scheme has been programmed to commence on site within the 2017/18 financial year. A Planning Application has been submitted by the Vendor for the above mix and completion of the site purchase will only occur on receipt of satisfactory Planning Approval. The contract is for the demolition of an existing single storey social housing scheme and construction of a proposed development of 14 new build social housing units at Altigarron Court, 6 Westrock Gardens, Belfast. The proposed mix is: — 10 No. 1 person 1 bedroom supported housing apartments in a two-storey block (to include a lift). — 1 No. 4 bedroom, shared, supported housing unit. — Staff and associated communal facilities. The proposed development will include associated vehicle and pedestrian access and car parking spaces. Please note this mix is subject to change, based on the outcome of a Planning Application. The site which measures approximately 0.53 Acres, is located in a predominately residential area and is currently occupied by an existing single storey supported housing scheme. Site surveys are still to be undertaken. The contractor will be responsible for all services etc. to develop this site and for providing, prior to completion, the relevant statutory approvals and documentation. The scheme is to be on site in early 2018. The contract period is anticipated to be 15 months.
