Tender description

Concession contracts are available to provide Hospital Retail Catering Units to replace existing in house provisions, staff restaurant and canteen. The opportunity comprises of 2 units of an established, but under exploited retail catering service. The service and contract consists of the following: — Whitlocks — a staff canteen also open to the public in a dedicated, fully equipped retail unit owned by Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust which is at the centre of the Hospital site. 80 % of custom is from members of a staff who benefit from a 10 % discount on certain lines. Supported by a loyal customer base and a valued facility. — Beacon Café — A smaller dedicated facility within the award winning Beacon Oncology Centre. As well as staff trade there is a captive audience within the waiting area that is host to this outlet. This unit is a PFI funded building. This tender will be conducted using the OJEU Open Procedure. This tender is considered a services concession contract and is subject to the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016.
