Provision of Health & Safety Training Courses

Tender description

The Council offers a range of Health and Safety courses to its employees, staff employed by partner organisations, contracted service providers, schools and voluntary organisations. Participants come from a diverse range of work groups, but predominately they are drawn from Adults and Children’s service sectors within the Borough. The main venue for these courses is the Council’s Corporate Learning Centre, which is based in Ainsdale. Actual dates of events will be communicated to the relevant providers by the Learning and Development Officers. In addition, the Council intends to seek up to a maximum of two (2) Reserve Providers within each lot. Should the Lead Preferred Provider not be able to meet the training requirements, then the Reserve Contractor will be approached. Similarly if the Client Officer has significant concerns over the Preferred Provider’s performance at any time during the Contract then the Client Officer has the right to approach and appoint the Reserve Provider. The Council anticipates that it will recourse to the Reserve Provider in instances where: i) The Lead Provider is unable to react to a requirement in the timescale that the client officer requires, i.e. through a shortage of capacity at a particular point in time for instance, ii) Where the Lead Provider’s priced proposal for any commissioned requirement under this contract is in excess of the allocation, or iii) in an instance where the Lead Provider ceases to trade.
