Tender description

Essex County Council's Country Park Play Areas requirements were split into 2 lots (Lot 1: Music / Rhythm / Performance Play Zone at Belhus Woods Country Park; Lot 2: Play Area Provision at Cudmore Grove Country Park) and have been awarded separately. This award notice is for Lot 2 only. The scope of this requirement includes the: — Design of a play area with a relevant theme to the location; — Supply of the materials/equipment to fulfil the design proposals; — Construction and installation of the materials/equipment to implement/execute the design; — Arrangement of an independent assessment by a certified engineer; — Completion of appropriate land surveys, such as an Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) survey, prior to any excavations; — Provision of necessary signage for users to maximise the enjoyment of the play offer; — Provision of appropriate safety surfacing. The tender was based on a fixed price in which economic operators competed on quality criteria only.
