Tender description
The Arts and Museums service own and operate five museums. The museums are home to some of the finest objects of local, national and international importance covering social history, fine and decorative art, technology, archaeology and the natural world. Complementing our Roman archaeology collections, there are fascinating artefacts from other eras. From ancient stone tools to striking medieval decorated tiles from Leicester Abbey, there's something to interest the whole family. The Museum grounds contain one of Leicester’s most famous landmarks, the Jewry Wall, part of the roman town's public baths. It is one of the tallest surviving pieces of Roman masonry in the country. A storage solution for the storage of small objects is required. The Authority wishes to ensure that its procurement opportunities are open to small and micro local enterprises and voluntary and community sector organisations as it appreciates the very important role they play in the local economy. Quotations from these organisations are particularly welcomed. Applicants should note that due to the technicality of the software package being used to create this advert, this Opportunity will become "invisible" at midnight on 15th August 2017; Applicants are therefore requested to save all documentation relating to this Opportunity locally.
