Tender description

The Institute of Continuing Education consists of 170 staff and 300 part-time tutors and examiners. It offers around 600 courses a year ranging from day schools to two-year part-time Master's degree courses (ICE is the admitting body for all the University's Master of Studies programmes) and there are approximately 8 000 student enrolments per year. The Institute's activities take place at Madingley Hall (a residential Grade 1 listed building) which provides residential and non-residential facilities for the Institute's courses and to a wide range of external clients. The Hall operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and provides full hotel services for up to 83 residents and a total of 140 daily users. The Hall has 15 meeting and function rooms, 62 en-suite bedrooms and a large Dining Hall (capacity 110), (daily site capacity180). The 62 bedrooms operate at around 75 % occupancy Monday to Thursday and 60 % Friday to Sunday. The hall operates a bed and breakfast operation via online.
