Tender description

Multi-hole pressure probe and data acquisition system — Multi-hole pressure probes are required to produce time histories of 3 dimensional velocities and pressures at points around moving vehicle models on the TRAIN Rig. — Velocities in minimum range of 0 to 40 m/s, with a minimum accuracy of ±1 %, at a minimum sampling rate of 1 000 samples / sec. Ideally velocities of 0 to 100 m/s, accuracies ±0.2 m/s and sampling rates of 5 000 samples/sec. — Quotes are to be provided for a 4, 8 and 16 probes system (including suitable Data Acquisition System (DAQ)), with discounts for bulk buying if appropriate. — A minimum flow angle of ±45 degrees. — The necessary calibration equipment shall be provided. — A full data logging and processing system shall be provided, with the ability to download data to all common analysis platforms. — Ideally Probes should be ‘plug and play’ i.e. they plug into the DAQ and enable rapid data acquisition.
