Tender description

The Discretionary Welfare Assistance Scheme provides support to vulnerable residents who require help to establish or maintain a home independently in the community by providing goods in kind. The Council provides furniture, new (or refurbished) and new electrical items to assist people who meet a qualifying criteria. The Council, is seeking to select a supplier who, on a call off basis, can deliver and, where appropriate, install a range of furniture and white goods in resident's homes within the borough of St Helens. Typical orders will consist of one or more of the following items: bed and bedding; the supply and installation of electric items (White Goods): fridge or fridge freezer; washing machine; electric cooker (occasionally gas).
