Footbridge construction work

Tender description

As part of the regeneration of the Sighthill Area of the City it is proposed to construct a new footbridge over the M8 motorway to provide a connection from Sighthill to Baird Street and on to the City Centre. The works are summarised as follows: — Demolition of existing M8 footbridge, — Demolition/Removal of existing high mast motorway lighting column/base and construction of two new high mast lights and bases, — Construction of new footbridge over M8, — Construction of bridge approach ramps, retaining walls, provision of drainage and public realm to south of bridge, — Landscaping works, construction of retaining walls, provision of drainage for footbridge and approach including SUDS to north of bridge, — Associated Works and Consents.
