Flushdyke Bridge Refurbishment

Tender description

Flushdyke Bridge carries A6129 Shepherd Hill slip road over A638 Ossett Bypass to the west of M1 Junction 40. The bridge superstructure is a composite reinforced concrete deck slab carried on precast pre-stressed concrete beams. The substructure abutments and monolithic wing walls are reinforced concrete. The refurbishment works to the bridge comprise: - a) Traffic management. b) Excavation and removal of existing waterproofing c) Replacement of existing safety barriers to continue over the bridge. d) Renewal of deck waterproofing. e) Renewal of expansion joints. f) Reconstruction of the carriageway and footways over the bridge. g) Maintenance painting of the galvanised steel parapets h) Survey and location of concrete defects. i) Concrete repairs to the superstructure. j) Concrete repairs to the substructure.
