Consultancy Services for Proposed Small Craft Harbour Development and Mainland Quay Sheet-Pile Condition Survey at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Cork

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) requires the services of a Consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare a Preliminary Report for both the Proposed Small Craft Harbour Development Project and the Mainland Quay Sheet-Pile Condition Survey Project at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Cork. The Small Craft Harbour Development involves the following broad parameters; • Develop options indicated on DAFM Drawing No. FHC028-7001-A for a Small Craft Harbour Development in Castletownbere FHC to provide pontoon berthage throughout the year. The Mainland Quay Sheet-Pile Condition Survey Project involves the following broad parameters; • Prepare a preliminary report comprising investigations and studies as follows (i) inspect, survey and assess the condition and design integrity of the steel sheet piles on the Mainland Quay approximately 350m in length (ii) determine the remaining lifespan of the sheet piles (iii) produce design solutions, including costing for any necessary remedial works in connection with the Mainland Quay Condition Survey. • The primary objective is to assess the integrity of the sheet piles and to plan for remedial works if necessary that may be required to prolong the design life of the Mainland Quay structure.
