Tender description
VIVID were looking to procure new ICT Desktop Infrastructure. This tender set out VIVID's key requirements to ensure the new organisation has a desktop infrastructure that is high quality and provides a good user experience. Existing desktop infrastructure is based on thin client architecture, with Citrix XenApp providing server hosted desktops to staff with Linux based thin clients on the desk. As this is a significant architecture change for the organisation we required assistance in the design and deployment of this. Once in place we required the tools to enable easy management of devices, security and applications installed on them, and to deploy new desktops. Full details were provided in the specification. VIVID were looking to procure approximately 360 units ordered at key intervals.
