ANBC - Preliminary Market Consultation for the Provision of a Citizen App

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council wishes to develop a Citizen App for both Android and iOS devices. The vision for the app is that it would be used to provide our Citizens with access to information about our services such as bin collected, what’s on, booking of leisure services and the raising of requests for service. Council already make use of a number of hosted solutions and it is envisaged that this app would integrate (via API) with these solutions, providing Citizens and Council staff with a seamless experience. The App should also provide the facility to have an account setup solution, allowing personalised information and optional push notifications for things such as next bin days or holiday arrangements. The purpose of the questionnaire is to gain an understanding of the latest developments in App technology and how this can inform the Council’s specification.
