Tender description
NEUPC is aiming to establish a new framework agreement for the provision of Roofing, Roofing maintenance, and other associated activities for (predominantly) Higher Education institutions in the North, North East, and Midlands of England. Expenditure analysis indicates that this activity could be worth up to 4 500 000 GBP net per annum. This framework agreement is intended to be let to Roofing, and Roof Maintenance companies that operate in the North of the NEUPC's membership region. Indicatively this should be taken to mean UK postcode areas NE, DH, DL, and TS. The following types of roof are an example of those which are to be covered under the framework agreement: Flat, Pitched, Sloping, Architectural. The institutions that may use this agreement have an exceptionally diverse range of roofing material requirements. The following types of roofing materials are indicative of those that may be required to be fitted, or maintained under this agreement and should not be deemed to be exhaustive: Thermoset membrane (e.g. rubber), Thermoplastic (e.g. pvc/vinyl), Asphalt Roll, Bituminous covering, Fibre glass, Metal (e.g. galvanised steel/copper sheet), Structural Concrete, Glass, Slate/tile. The activities under this agreement shall encompass both reactive maintenance, and planned maintenance / project works. This agreement will be open to universities and their partners regardless of whether or not they are to be defined as contracting authorities for the purpose of the PCR 2015. It is anticipated that some of the future call off contracts under this framework may be part funded from external streams, including European Union (EU) funding and (ERDF/ESF) and potentially other research bodies. All funding assessed under this framework will be considered compliant for the purposes of external funding by the named participants. This framework agreement is intended to be let to Roofing, and Roof Maintenance companies that operate in the East and Humberside region of the NEUPC's membership.
