Tender description

Dublin City Council (DCC) is seeking to establish a Multi-Party Framework Agreement of Specialist Conservation Masonry Contractors on foot of an initial contract for the conservation of a number of the Follies in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny. It is envisaged that the number of Specialist Contractors admitted to the Framework following this procurement competition will not exceed five, provided that five suitable tenderers meet the requirements of the Selection and Award Criteria. Framework Members may subsequently be invited to tender in mini competitions for individual contracts under the Framework Agreement. Future projects may include repairs to historic graveyards, historic pavement, walls, railing and other Protected Structures with an estimated value for individual projects ranging from €50,000 to, and not exceeding, €300,000. The framework agreement may also be used for other construction contracts where a specialist stone mason is required. The Framework will be in operation for a period of three years, with an option to extend by an additional one (1) year subject to satisfactory performance, ongoing needs and budget availability. DCC will use this framework agreement as and when requirements within its scope arise. However, there is no obligation upon DCC to make use of this framework agreement. Notwithstanding this fact, the framework agreement may be terminated in accordance with the framework agreement terms and conditions. Dublin City Council may novate a Framework Operator as a specialist to a Works Contractor for specific large scale construction projects, subject to prior agreement with the Framework Operator.
