The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Biomedical Science for a Multi-Photon Microscope and Dual-Line Titanium Sapphire IR Laser. This tender is for the supply, installation and commissioning of a multiphoton scanning confocal microscope, which will primarily be used for both standard and deep tissue imaging of live and fixed drosophila embryos. The system should be capable of imaging all major synthetic fluorochromes such as alexa-405, alexa-488, alexa-568 and alexa-647; and be able to image the following fluorescent proteins: YFP; GFP and mCherry. This tender is for the supply, installation and commissioning of a dual-line titanium sapphire (Ti:S) multiphoton infrared laser, which will primarily be used for both standard and deep tissue imaging of live and fixed drosophila embryos. The laser will be installed on a commercial multiphoton inverted microscope, which is being purchased under Lot 1.
