The provision of a local healthwatch service for the City of Leeds. Healthwatch Leeds will have the responsibility to assist local health and social care commissioners, providers and community stakeholders by providing feedback, links to research, evidence and information on local people's views and experiences of health and social care, in order to drive up standards in service provision. Healthwatch Leeds will have a responsibility to assist local health and social care commissioners and providers and community stakeholders by providing feedback, links to research, evidence and information on local people's views and experiences of health and social care, in order to drive up standards of service provision. Healthwatch Leeds will also signpost local people with any complaints they may wish to progress in relation to Social Care and/or an NHS service provision to an independent complaints advocacy service which is separately commissioned by Leeds City Council. Healthwatch Leeds will be available for: people who live in the Leeds local authority area; people to whom care services are or may be provided in the Leeds local authority area or people from Leeds to whom care services are being provided in another local authority area.
