Clinical-waste collection services

Tender description

The Service will consist of the collection, transportation and disposal of Clinical Waste from the homes of members of the public within Hywel Dda University Health Board. This includes the regions of Carmarthenshire County Council, Ceredigion County Council and Pembrokeshire County Council. This would also include the issuing of goods required such as disposal bags and sharps bins. The Contracting Authority is seeking a 2-year and 3-month contract (27 months) with the option to extend for a further period of 2 years (24 months). The contract is due to commence 2.10.2017 with a three month implementation prior to the commencement of service on the 1.1.2018. The value for the initial 2-year and 3-month period is estimated at being 123 453 GBP with the potential 4-year value estimated at 246 907 GBP excluding VAT.
