The Met Office has a requirement for the appointment of a Supplier who can provide Critical Infrastructure Asset Maintenance for a 5-year contract due to commence in December 2018 at the Met Office Main Building, and a second site nearby at Exeter Science Park in Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom. The Met Office is a trading fund within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, operating on a commercial basis under set targets. As the UK's National Weather Service, it provides a range of weather and climate services to a large number of public and private sector organisations. It also represents the UK within the World Metrological Organisation (WMO) and plays a prominent role in international meteorology. The Met Office Main Building and a second site nearby in Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom houses the Met Office High Performance Computer, which underpins these services. The Met Office has a requirement for the appointment of a Supplier who can provide Critical Infrastructure Asset Maintenance for a 5-year contract due to commence in December 2018. Suppliers with specific experience of providing prime delivery and first fix greater than 80 % for core mechanical and electrical elements, with limited reliance upon Sub-Contractors, of critical infrastructure asset maintenance consisting of planned, reactive maintenance and minor works to critical infrastructure (Building Fabric, Plant & Machinery) operating 24 hours/7 days a week/a year are invited to express their interest on the Met Office etendering portal.
