Tender description

Kent County Council's Public Transport team wish to undertake market research with suppliers who would be interested in providing a replacement for the Council's current system, Routewise, which is approaching end-of-life. The market engagement process will: a) Help inform the Council's understanding of the nature of the market and of systems that are available in the market place that could potentially meet the Council's requirements; b) Identify suppliers who may be interested in bidding in the tender process which is intended to follow the market engagement sessions in early 2017; and c) Help inform the final version of the system specification which is to be published within an Invitation to Tender (ITT) as part of the tender process following the market engagement sessions in early 2017. Dates for the market engagement sessions are as follows: Session 1: Date: Monday 6.2.2017 Time: 9:30 — 10:30; 11:00 — 12:00; 13:00 — 14:00; 14:30 — 15:30 Location: Kent County Council Offices, Aylesford, Kent Session 2: Date: Tuesday 7.2.2017 Time: 9:30 — 10:30; 11:00 — 12:00 Location: Kent County Council Offices, Aylesford, Kent Session 3: Date: Monday 13th February 2017 Time: 9:30 — 10:30; 11:00 — 12:00 Location: Kent County Council Offices, Aylesford, Kent Session 4: Date: Tuesday 14.2.2017 Time: 9:30 — 10:30; 11:00 — 12:00 Location: Kent County Council Offices, Aylesford, Kent Organisations interested in attending a market engagement session should respond to nicola.daniels@kent.gov.uk by 30th January 2017. In your response please provide the following information: a) The name of the company or companies that would provide the system in the event you decide to submit a tender response; b) A brief written introduction to your system (maximum 500 words); c) Confirmation that you would be able to provide a demonstration of your system during the market engagement session; d) Confirmation of which of the above market engagement sessions your organisation would be able to attend and the name and role of personnel attending from your organisation (maximum four people). Following receipt of your response, your attendance at one of the sessions will be confirmed and details (including the meeting date and time slot that you've been allocated and meeting location details) will be provided. During the market engagement sessions, you will be required to provide a demonstration of your system. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions regarding the Council's requirements. A brief overview of the procurement process will be provided. Due to space and time restrictions, depending upon the number of responses received, the Council may decide to shortlist suppliers to attend the market engagement sessions based on the information provided in their response to this PIN Notice. In the event your organisation is not shortlisted to take part in the market engagement sessions, this does not prevent you from bidding for the tender opportunity when it is published. Key points from the market engagement sessions (excluding commercially sensitive information) will be circulated to suppliers who are unable to attend the market engagement sessions.
