Tender description

NWSSP on behalf of Cardiff and Vale NHS University Local Health Board uLHB purchases the Maintenance of Internal Pager Bleeper Systems on behalf of Corporate Services in the University Hospital of Wales. The current products were purchased out of capital monies many years ago. These were purchased from Multitone. The usage of these has reduced greatly but there is still a requirement for those still in use to be maintained. Any change of supplier currently would necessitate the purchase of new pagers and incur a cost implication which in the current climate the Health Board are not able to undertake. Based on this whilst they review the future requirements they wish to put a contract in for three years on an annual basis whilst the requirement for this contract is reviewed. The requirements under the maintenance include: Repair of electrical faults due to fair wear and tear; Repair of electrical faults due to light impact; Case Clean; Replace plastic case parts; Average repair time (5 working days); Average repair time (3 working days); Average repair time (2 working days); Technical response within 16 working hours; Technical response within 8 working hours; Technical response within 4 working hours; Includes the labour costs; Includes the material costs; Preventative maintenance visits; The above on site response is based on a 5-day week 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding Statutory holidays). Upgrades are available. Monday-Sunday 24 hours.
