North Lincolnshire Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to be solely responsible for ensuring high quality substance misuse pharmacy services across North Lincolnshire. This service requires suitably trained and competent pharmacists to supervise the consumption of Methadone and /or Buprenorphine/ Buprenorphine and Naloxone mix at the point of dispensing controlled drugs within the pharmacy setting, ensuring that the service user has consumed the prescribed dose safely and correctly. North Lincolnshire Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to be solely responsible for ensuring high quality substance misuse pharmacy services across North Lincolnshire. This service requires suitably trained and competent pharmacists to supervise the consumption of Methadone and /or Buprenorphine/ Buprenorphine and Naloxone mix at the point of dispensing controlled drugs within the pharmacy setting, ensuring that the service user has consumed the prescribed dose safely and correctly. The service works in partnership with drug treatment providers, General Practitioners and community health professionals to assess health and well-being, coordinate, case management and promote and deliver harm reduction services, including needle exchange to service users and families, complemented by widening the availability of Naloxone and access to BBV services. The service provides referral to substance misuse and wider Public Health services as relevant. The Health Check element of the service is aimed at patients aged 40-74 who are not already being treated for vascular disease (cardiac disease including CHD heart failure, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease stroke, TIA. The service will compliment the partnership by providing a triage based direct access service and refer clients to relevant services for comprehensive assessment where necessary. An outcome based approach to all aspects of the specification should be applied to achieve the following outcomes: — Reducing drug related harm within individuals, families and communities through delivering interventions that reduce risk and address substance. Contributing to a reduction in drug related harm and proven re-offending for injecting, previously injecting and non injecting substance misuser's. — Improving health, well-being and relationships, by increasing access to evidence-based interventions underpinned by NICE guidance. — Achieving recovery through optimising engagement and interventions, and integrating treatment that involves a range of stakeholders and includes coordinated care and re-integration support that enables individuals to access and exit treatment in a successful, supported and planned way. — Reducing drug related morbidity and mortality through integrated whole system approaches. — Improving people's experience of Public Health and social care services.
