Tender description

A tender for a laboratory medicine managed service contract. This will include 3 Trusts — University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. This is a 10 year contract. Autoimmunity consists of specialist auto-antibody tests. Automated chemistry consists of routine chemistry tests, immuno-assays, immunology specific proteins and serology tests. The level of automation may be different for each of the sites. Automated Haematology mainly consists of Full Blood Counts with slide production and interpretation, ESR measurement and some matching point of care FBC capability. The level of automation may be different for each of the sites. Blood Gases consists of point of care blood gas analysis for a range of users with some requiring different test combinations. Blood Transfusion is the provision of testing and investigation of antibody status that supports electronic and full serological cross-match issue of blood products. Specialist Biochemistry consists of specialist tests that may require several platforms. Coagulation mainly consists of routine coagulation testing but for some sites will include some specialist coagulation tests. The level of automation may be different for each of the sites. Is for the provision of Flow Cytometry service that covers both Immunological disorders and haematological disorders. HBA1c is for the provision of an automated method of testing HBA1c. Immunology is for automated and semi automated immune assays. This Lot covers the provision of a Managed Service Contract that incorporates 1 or more of the above lots.
