Tender description

Dublin City Council invites Tenderers to establish a Multi-Party Framework Agreement for the Supply of Bottled Water for 2 years, with the option to extend for an additional 2 year period subject to annual, periodic and other reviews. The Framework Agreement will be established and the initial Contract for 2 years will be awarded on foot of this tender competition. A minimum of 3 Tenderers (provided that 3 suitable Tenderers are identified) will be admitted to this Framework Agreement. The initial Contract is for the supply of bottled water to Dublin City Council for a 2 year period to cover 2016-2018 (expected to commence quarter 4 2016). Should Dublin City Council exercise the option to extend the Framework, a Mini-Tender Competition will be held at the end of Year 2 between all the Framework members, to award a Contract for a further 2 year period 2019- 2020. The framework is for use by all departments of Dublin City Council. Dublin City Council is not and will not be under any obligation to place orders through this Framework. Dublin City Council is considering Green Public Procurement (GPP) in establishment of this Framework Agreement and award of contract, as part of a broader approach to environmental awareness and sustainability in its purchasing. Green Public Procurement seeks to procure goods, services, works and utilities by choosing solutions with a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle when compared to goods, services, works and utilities with the same primary function that would otherwise be procured. Green public procurement can also form part of a broader strategic approach to public procurement which includes environmental, economic, social value and responsibility, referred to as Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP).
