Tender description

This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of The Council and is for higher education services. HEFCE has a statutory duty to ensure that the quality of education is assessed in the institutions it funds or is considering funding. The services covered by this tender will support a revised operating model for quality assessment and will include: — Review visits to test a provider's ability to meet baseline regulatory requirements; — Verification of a provider's methodology for its own internal review process; — Support for governing bodies to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities for academic governance; — Investigations, where serious concerns about a provider have been raised; — Exploration of approaches to the training of external examiners and to the calibration of standards; — Support for strategic engagement with international higher education developments and the review of UK providers' activities overseas. The services will be required to be delivered to locations across England and Northern Ireland. Some services may also be delivered to locations in Wales and/or Scotland.
