Eckersley’s Mill Retaining Wall is a gravity retaining wall structure with a metal pedestrian guardrail on Swan Meadow Road and corrugated beam safety barrier on Pottery Road. The maximum retained height of the wall is approximately 0.80m. The structure forms the retaining wall near the junction of Swan Meadow Road and Pottery Road. The works will involve the demolition of the existing Eckersley’s Mill Retaining Wall and construction of new reinforced concrete retaining wall along with high containment kerbs, the installation of new pedestrian parapets on the wall and reinstatement of the footway and carriageway.
