Commercial Vehicle Provision and Maintenance

Tender description

This early engagement notice is issued to notify the market of a future contract opportunity for the provision of commercial vehicles and maintenance services. Prior to this, Essex County Council is seeking to carry out supplier engagement activities in relation to this future opportunity and invites interested parties to register their interest in participating in this process. The market engagement is likely to take the form of face to face meetings and workshops with a wide range of providers to discuss the potential shape of future service provision, and to explore existing market trends and capability. To register interest in participation in this process, please email Nick Green on nick.green@essex.gov.uk with details of your organisations, including email and telephone contact details and the point of contact for dialogue related to this notice. Expressions of interest must be received not later than Friday 3rd February 2017. Essex County Council reserves the right to exclude any provider from the process where their expression of interest was not received prior to this deadline. Engagement activities will commence from the week commencing 6th February 2017. The existing contract includes the provision of commercial vehicles, including vans, minibuses (from 7 seats to 17), mobile libraries and the like. Maintenance and fleet management services are provided under the same contract by a single provider. The existing fleet numbers circa 185 vehicles. Please note: participation or non-participation in the engagement activities will not have any impact on future participation in any formal procurement process that may follow. No guarantees are made to the market about the future shape of any procurement activities (or that a procurement process will follow at all), or any quantities or values.
