This PIN is to inform economic operators that BSO Procurement and Logistics Service, PaLS, intends to issue a tender to establish a new contract on behalf of the Public Health Agency Northern Ireland which will include the supply, packing, storage and delivery of a range of ‘keep warm’ packs to support the Regional Keep Warm Keep Well Scheme for Vulnerable Adults and Children in Northern Ireland. The exact details of the contractual arrangement are yet to be decided however for guidance purposes it is envisaged that the scope of the procurement will include the following: Supply of clothing and other items including underwear to assist vulnerable adults, children and babies in keeping warm at home. The current packs contain hats, gloves, scarfs, blankets, gilets in a range of adult male, female and unisex child sizes. Packing items in an individually sealed and transparent waterproof pack clearly labelled with pack type size and gender. Appropriate storage of packs is required. Delivery of packs throughout NI to approx. 25 delivery points. Estimated annual contract value is 140 000 GBP. Estimated total packs per annum is currently 5500. Estimated contract start 1.8.2017, with delivery of packs due to commence September/October 2017. Contract duration 3 years with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
