Tender description

The development of an extra care scheme in Tisbury will deliver the following aims and objectives: Enable older people to remain independent in their own home, with 24-hour on-site care and support provision that is tailored to the individual's need. Diverts people away from residential care through the provision of adapted homes that can meet the high care needs of some older people. This reduces long term care costs for the Council and provides increased opportunities for independent living. Provision of fit for purpose facilities and services for older people in Tisbury, meeting the needs of local people as well as the residents of the scheme. Regenerating this scheme will ensure that it remains viable and in good working order for the next 25 years. A small alteration to the fabric of the building (e.g. to include a lift that accepts stretchers and a larger reception area) will ensure this.
