1508/311/SW/CTI/16 Steel/Nickel Base (Air) Heat Treatment Facility The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for the supply of a Steel/Nickel Base (Air) Heat Treatment Facility for use within the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre's Castings Group at Catcliffe, Rotherham. Scope of Requirement: The requirement is for a Steel (Air) Heat Treatment Facility which has the ability to heat treat steel/Nickel based castings up to 1250 degrees Celsius. It is envisaged that the facility will consist of two furnaces, a transfer system, quench tank, and all appropriate ancillary equipment for the complete heat treatment of castings.
