Tender description

Scottish Water require the services of one or more Contractors to support its Water Network Maintenance. The Alliance will cover various types of work including Surveys, Civil Engineering and Plumbing activities. Workstreams to be supported include Capital Maintenance Projects, Metering, Water Response, Leakage and Connections. The Operational Area to be covered is Pan Scotland and Scottish Water may split the work into geographical areas. The Estimated Value indicated below is based upon the anticipated maximum value of the work included within the following Range = From 7 380 000 GBP to 13 090 000 GBP per year which equals 29 520 000 GBP to 59 040 000 GBP for initial 4 Year Term and a total of between 52 360 000 GBP and 104 720 000 GBP inclusive of 4 x 12 month extensions. Typically Civil Engineering Projects up to 250 000 GBP each. Metering This will be considered as separate activity under (1) Planned programme of New Meter installations and (2) Business as Usual (BAU) Metering including meter replacements, repairs and right-sizing. The work will be evaluated on this basis. Work includes Property Surveys, Site Surveys, Meter Installation Surveys, New Installations, Replacements, Maintenance and General Plumbing or Civil Engineering work. Water Response Support — Stand By, Mains Repairs, Installations, Lead Replacements, Hydrant Maintenance and Water Squad Support. Under Pressure or Open Cut Methods. Thrust Boring, Directional Drilling, Line Stops, etc. Leakage — Planned Leakage, Reactive Leakage, Customer Side Leakage (Within Curlilage) Installations, Enabling Work, Network Repairs, Customer and Valve Operations. Customer Connections Standard Connections, Communication Pipes, Supply Pipes, Tie Ins to Water Mains, Non Standard Connections, Mainlaying and Associated Installations. Under Pressure, moling or Open Cut Methods.
