This PIN is an updated and revised version of PIN (2016/S 150-271987). UWE is placing this PIN for preliminary market consultation purposes only. It is not a formal tender or a call for competition. Lot 1 the University of the West of England is seeking a supplier to provide a modern and future proof system that will record a student's attendance within a location or event. Lot 2 the University of the West of England is seeking a supplier to provide a Learner Analytics Solution in order to review and analyse student engagement/behaviour. The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is seeking a supplier to provide a modern and future proof system that will record a student's attendance within a location or event. UWE have made a decision not to pursue swipe card readers. It is thought that iBeacon proximity technology (And the Android equivalent) with a mobile app would be one potential solution offering appropriate coverage/student interface, however UWE is open to any proposal offering a solution to our requirement. This system will be as automated as possible and will work for both timetabled and non-timetabled sessions/events. The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is seeking a supplier to provide a Learner Analytics Solution in order to review and analyse student engagement/behaviour. The system will incorporate one or more algorithms, which will provide the capability to analyse data from multiple named sources and reliably provide reports highlighting risks with student engagement and vulnerability with the aim of improving student experience and retention across the university. It is preferred that the system needs to be able to access multiple data sources, and be scalable to include new sources in the future — across a range of platforms. The initial objective would be to use Attendance Monitoring, Virtual Learning Environment usage and Coursework Submission data as primary indicators within the algorithm, but allow for integration with other student systems data sets as required.
