Tender description

North of England Commissioning support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England North (Cheshire and Merseyside) (The Contracting Authority) who are accountable for the commissioning of primary dental care in the Cheshire and Merseyside area. They are now proposing to commission a conscious sedation service for referred adult patients who have an evidenced high level of dental anxiety and require simple restorative dental care or specified procedures which are classed as level 1 oral surgery procedures. A Request for Information (RFI) process is being undertaken to engage with the market in order to inform the further development of draft proposals for the future service delivery of the Primary Dental Care Conscious Sedation Service for Anxious Adults. NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this RFI and communicate with providers.
