Tender description
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) requires the services of a Consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare Preliminary Report, detailed design, tender documentation, Works and handover Stage for the East Basin Pontoons Refurbishment and Extension Project at An Daingean Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Kerry. The East Basin Pontoons Refurbishment and Extension project involves the following broad parameters; • Refurbishment by replacing the existing pontoons with new heavy duty pontoons as outlined as follows; o 175m x 2.4m walkway pontoons o 6 No. 12m x 2m fingers o 3 No. 12m x 1m fingers o Replacement of old Gangway with a new Gangway to provide pedestrian access to the Pontoons • Provision of new heavy duty Pontoons as outlined below, together with piles to sustain the required imposed berthing loads. o 11 No. 12m x 2.5m fingers o 7 No. 10m x 2.5m fingers o 240m x 2.5m walkway pontoons o 7 No. additional new piles (estimated, TBC following Design)
