Translink recognises that the CCTV market undergoes generational and technological step changes on a regular basis; e.g. analogue systems are now considered obsolete whilst there are forthcoming changes to Data Protection Legislation. To ensure Translink continues to meet its responsibilities in relation to CCTV governance whilst also meeting business needs there is currently a strategic review being carried out. The ultimate aim is to introduce a revised Translink Corporate CCTV Strategy which will guide the varied business areas when considering anything related to CCTV. This notice is to initiate an early market engagement exercise. It does not indicate the start of any formal procurement exercise. Separate specific procurement exercises will be advertised at the appropriate point in the future. Translink takes no responsibility for any actions or decisions taken, costs incurred or commitments made by parties in responding to this notice or by being involved in any subsequent discussions relating to this early market engagement exercise. All parties agree that the matters discussed between them during the course of this early market engagement exercise will remain confidential to those particular parties.
