Summary of the work Contractor delivered Unit Systems Administrator Courses and FSS Systems Engineer Courses for RE(Geo) personnel during FY17/18. Latest start date Monday 31 July 2017 Why the Work is Being Done because Problem to Be Solved Additional training at RSMS on financial year 17/18 to follow the format and outputs of Unit Systems Administrator Courses and FSS Systems Engineer Courses for RE(Geo) personnel. Who Are the Users As a RE Geo Unit Systems Administrator or FSS Systems Engineer I need to be trained to correctly administer and manage in service deployable Geospatial Information Systems so that I can support the equipment in barracks and operations. Existing Team Current training has been delivered byu Helyx Secure Information Services Ltd in conjunction with the Royal School of Military Survey. Current Phase Not applicable Skills & Experience • Understand the technical requirements of deployable IT systems specific to RE Geo. • Be competent in the delivery of training to military personnel. • Hold an SC clearance or higher. Nice to Haves Understand the organisational structure and working practices of RE Geo. Work Location RSMS Denison Barracks Hermitage Newbury RG18 9TP Working Arrangments Unit Systems Administrator Courses - On site for 5 consecutive days to deliver each iteration of the Unit Systems Administrator Course. This is to align with the course dates set by RSMS. FSS Systems Engineer Courses - On site for 10 days in a 12 day period (not working the weekend) to deliver each iteration of the Unit Systems Administrator Course. This is to align with the course dates set by RSMS. Instructors will need to be cleared to SECRET. Security Clearance Security Clearance (SC) is required No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 3 Proposal Criteria • Training solution must be in line with RSMS practices and principles. • Outputs must be agreed with RSMS. • Timeframes must meet those in the user SOR. • Training programme must meet requirements for USAC and FSS courses. Cultural Fit Criteria • Have an understanding of the military and its personnel. In partcular RE Geo. • Encourage people to learn from their mistakes Payment Approach Fixed price Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 50% Cultural fit 20% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers 1. How long is the assignment for? Five training course in FY 17/18 broken down as follows:3x Unit Systems Administrator Courses - On site for 5 consecutive days to deliver each iteration of the Unit Systems Administrator Course. This is to align with the course dates set by RSMS.2x FSS Systems Engineer Courses - On site for 10 days in a 12 day period (not working the weekend) to deliver each iteration of the Unit Systems Administrator Course. This is to align with the course dates set by RSMS. 2. The current latest start date listed (31/7) is prior to the closing date for applications (4/8). Can you advise the latest start date for the work? The latest start date listed (31/7) was entered in error. The following Unit Systems Administrator Course course dates are timetabled as below:USAC 6: 21 - 25 Aug 17USAC 5: 6 - 10 Nov 17 USAC 7: 8 - 12 Jan 18FSS System Engineer Courses course dates are to be determined in consultation Field Support Troop, 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic). The next iteration will not take place before Oct 17. 3. What is the rate or fixed price for the work? There is no fixed price or established rate for the work. Potential suppliers are requested to quote for the support required. More detailed information in the form of an SOR can be provided on request. 4. Can you advise when the User SOR containing expected time-frames for training will be made available? The latest start date listed (31/7) was entered in error.
