Nottingham City Council owns approximately 27 000 homes (not including leaseholders). These homes are managed on a day to day basis by Nottingham City Homes (NCH) our Arm Length Management Organisation (ALMO). Since 2000, the Council has contracted with Northgate for housing management software. The Council hosts the software on its own servers. NCH are the majority user of the housing management database, with high aspirations that the Council aims to support. By conducting this soft market test, we are looking to: — Understand what software offers are available in the market currently, — Understand how the software is managed and maintained, — Understand software hosting options, — Reduce / limit corporate overheads and continual revenue expenditure.
