Tender description

Hertfordshire County Council is tendering to provide a Floating Support Service to prevent homelessness in Young People aged 18-25 years of age (up to the 25th birthday). The aim of the service is to support Young People to provide them support appropriate to their needs, whilst ensuring their well-being and safety. The support provided must enable Young People to move towards independence including developing the life skills required to sustain independent tenancy long term, thus preventing future homelessness. Hertfordshire County Council (the ‘Council’) is currently out to procurement for the provision of a Floating Support Service to prevent homelessness in Young People aged 18-25 years of age (up to the 25th birthday). The aim of the service is to support Young People to provide them support appropriate to their needs, whilst ensuring their well-being and safety. The support provided must enable Young People to move towards independence including developing the life skills required to sustain independent tenancy long term, thus preventing future homelessness.. The Initial term will start on the Commencement date and run until 31/3/20. At the Council's discretion it may extend the Contract Period for a further period or periods of up to a total of two (2) further years. The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extension/s. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be approximately 250 000 GBP Please note that the contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands. Organisations should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed. Organisations should seek independent legal advice on the implications of this prior to submitting their bid, where appropriate. TUPE related information must be treated as protected data in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and must be kept confidential.
